1. In a sonnet, how many rhyming pairs are there?
2. How many syllables are in a sonnet?
3. How many accented syllables are in a sonnet?
4. If a ballad stanza has two lines of iambic tetrameter and two lines of iambic trimeter, how many iambs are in one stanza?

We checked and reviewd homework (word parts vocabulary) and brainstomed all the words we knew that included those word parts.

Figurative language, and poetical forms and devices (simile, metaphor, personification, hyperbole, onomatopoeia, imagery, rhyme, alliteration, tone, mood, sonnet, ballad, free verse, blank verse, haiku, etc.) You will have to know these terms for the test, and be able to apply to a poem!
